I got up to get it because I knew it was under the recliner so I thought maybe the button was getting squished. Put it on the table, crawled back and bed and it's gone off 3 more times. Stupid Elsa wand. As if "Let it Go" didn't haunt my dreams already. When my lo was a baby we had a Jumperoo that would go off during the night multiple times.
I was ready to burn it. We had just moved into our new house too, so I was convinced that our house was haunted since it had never happened in our apartment. I finally posted about it one night to Facebook in a midnight terror, and someone asked if it was under an air vent, because theirs had done that too.
They figured out that the montion of the air starting up and coming out of the vent would shake the Jumperoo just enough to make it play the songs and stuff. Yep, that was the issue. No demented Jumperoo here lol. Other toys I'm still not so sure about We have this wooden jigsaw that makes animal noises when you put the pieces in and the damn thing is so sensitive, it goes off when you even walk through the living room at night.
Horrible creepy thing. See all replies 3. So much nope. My mind goes straight to ghosts when this happens, when in reality our cat is just being an asshole in the living room messing with baby toys. That's what I'm going to believe lol! It's still effing scary as hell. That thing is getting some new batteries, switched to the off position and going in the closet. And we have some toys that will spontaneously make noise like that to encourage LO to play, but since we have had this one out a few months it has never gone off unless it is handled.
I'm really thinking low batteries have to be it. Either that or we are haunted lol! Some of my LOs toys will randomly do something, too. I think they are programmed to do that to get their attention. Like "hello are you still playing?
Sometimes that is how Ghost Hunters lure out the paranormal activity! Ghost Hunters , on the sci fy network. Apparently apparitions are attracted to the small amount of electronic energy and an object they can easily manipulate.
Flashlights are also good for this. Just Sayin':. Oh yeah, all her toys are off now lol! Won't be dealing with that again tonight. And hubs is going out of town for work soon so I am definitely not dealing with that alone!!!! That's so creepy! Yes, I would also think the new teddy is haunted!
I'm a self admitted fraidy cat! My daughter little teddy bear that talks and sings started playing one night while i was sleeping creeps me out so now i make sure at night i turn off all her toys that sings or talks you should turn off all your baby toys at night. I still find it slightly eerie when random things go off. But I call him Casper I do find it a bit unnerving when my son looks off at a random area and just starts laughing at no one.
I have grown up in other houses that had ghosts, so when we moved in here I said out loud, "if there are any ghosts in this house I don't care if you live here just respect our privacy and don't hurt any of us and you are welcome to stay here. As long as that is all that is going on then I wouldn't worry about it.
For all you know it could be a family member visiting you and meeting your LO. I have lived in places that I thought were haunted before, but I've never gotten that vibe from this house. We have been here for about a year and a half.
I don't think I could handle really believing my house was haunted lol! It gives me the heebie jeebies! No thanks! The toys are staying turned off at night.
