How can i finalize a dvd on my computer

If it is a DVD-RW disc, the DVD recorder that you used to record and finalize will have a menu option to format the finalized disc, which is necessary to re-use it. Insert a blank writable DVD into your disc drive. Click on it to attempt playing it, or eject it and play in a DVD player. I've tried uninstalling the drive and re-installing it in Device Manager but it does not work - I continue to get the device error. Same problem with both drives.
