Where to find ask questions on tumblr

On the ask box, you should see a switch labeled Ask Anonymously. Turn it on, and you should see your username switch to 'anonymous,' complete with your avatar representing anonymity. If you initiated the ask box without signing into your account, then you should be in anonymous mode by default. Enter your query into the ask box. Hence, keep that in mind until Tumblr patches the thing for good. Anonymous questions can only be viewed after a user responds to them, and will not send a notification to your inbox. Visit the other blog to see if a response has been given. Public responses will appear as new posts made to a blog with the question and answer.

Private responses are sent directly to you from the other blogger, allowing you to see the response and the original question.
